2011: day thirty-two

We needed to get a science folding poster board from Michael’s (Dadeland Station). My new trick is to park on the roof (which they love for some reason), and then  shooting some photos while up there. The parking lot floor is a great natural reflector, and it’s nice to change up the backdrop a bit. Ryan was not that willing of a portrait participant, though, so I knew I had to change it up. The solution?

A game (or four) of Red Light, Green Light. With Yellow, Blue, Purple, and Orange lights mixed in. (Don’t worry. No other cars go up here.)

This was the perfect game because it gave me a chance to get them to jump, dance, slow down, go backward, stop, or run. And it kept Ryan in the frame for a change.

Another great game is Simon Says. But then I have to think more.

Note, the kid in FRONT will be the happier kid (because s/he is winning). When they are far apart, it is actually helpful, because the less happy kid will be blurred in the background.
