Ain't no messin' around.

Three Months Ago…

Three months ago, I made a risky move, took a steep pay cut and changed jobs. Actually, though I stayed at the same company, I changed more than jobs – I changed careers, switching from IT App Development to a Marketing position that lets me do everything from press releases to collateral design to strategy development to photography. (There is nothing like being short-staffed to get you some serious experience in a short time frame.)

Three months later… I am happy to say that I have no regrets. At all. I am so grateful for the new opportunity to do what I love, full-time. I come home energized. My kids and husband can see a difference in my happiness meter. Not to say that I am never frustrated or overwhelmed. But it I do feel more fulfilled and less stressed.

So, if you are reading this, facing the risky choice of moving on, I dare you to go for it. Your new path may not be exactly what you’re looking for (I’ve certainly made changes for the worse before.), but it may be that “rebound guy” that helps you break up and move on.

Oh, and here are the nuts I work with now! So much fun. More pictures here.
